Red Eye Radiance

Manifest

It is impossible to survive the realisation of the meaninglessness of life and remain a self-proclaimed rational agent. You either die, literally or by surrendering to apathy, or you abandon rationality in favour of absurdity. The decision to live after such a realisation, deliberate or not, is a resignation of rationality as the paramount value, a move from the pedestal to the toolbox. Along with rationality subversion, expectations from life also vanish. Desires remain; locus of control shifts inward. Responsibility for one’s joy rests entirely within oneself. Beyond this threshold of absurdity, higher purpose, and the possibility of free will lose their charm; only a peculiar type of joy remains. Joy that seems to stem from just a few acts: Love, Laughter, and Creation, all of which necessitate an engagement with life. Love needs an object, Laughter desires company, and Creation longs for attention; life truly unfolds only as a shared experience.
